Edward is a highly skilled conservator dedicated to providing exceptional conservation and restoration services for a wide range of paintings. He brings many years of experience working with London’s leading private studios, galleries and major institutions, and holds a postgraduate diploma in painting conservation from The Courtauld Institute of Art and an MA in Art History from the University of St Andrews.
Whilst working at Hamish Dewar’s studio in St James’s, London, Edward continues to run his own private practice in North London.
Combining modern techniques with current conservation science, Edward specialises in the careful restoration of both historic and contemporary paintings. His work respects the artist’s original vision and the painting’s historical context and physical and aesthetic needs while using reversible and minimally invasive methods to maintain the artwork’s integrity.
